1971-Macedonia, land and people

About this work: from 1968 until 1972 Neil Folberg was a student of William Garnett and Ansel Adams at the University of California, Berkeley. In 1971 he received a President's Undergraduate Fellowship for field work in Yugoslav Macedonia to document land and life in a series of B&W images that were first exhibited at the Studio Gallery on campus, a photo workshop directed by Dave Bohn where among other notable photographers, Richard Misrach, Roger Minick and Margo Davis were working concurrently.
