Berge Arabian




Born in Syria of Armenian descent. Immigrated to Canada in 1973. A graduate in International Politics. A self-taught photographer since 1990, focusing on Social documentaries through photo-essays and long-term photographic projects. Has for many years documented various religious, political and social gatherings, with a belief in the importance of documentary photography and how it relates to everyday human existence and the understanding of the human condition. A freelance photographer since 1994, worked for “NOW” magazine for many years and has participated in various solo and group exhibitions. Official photographer for the Dalai Lama’s Kalachakra 2004 in Toronto and the Dalai Lama’s 2007 visit in Toronto. Recently moved to Istanbul.
