Dear friends,
The project I have
been working on for two years, the Anti-War Iraqi Photographs Project “Leave Us
Alone”, is about to be completed. On the tenth anniversary of the Iraq war, we
want to say “No To War!” by offering as many exhibitions as possible and
display our work.
For this project,
we need volunteers who have contacts with local and international drama
artists, art galleries, photography societies, universities, and anti-war
societies. We also need assistance for the translation to other languages. If
you say “I can” and if you can reach abovementioned groups and people, please
write to me at

Let’s be clear:
Our World is becoming nothing less than a photographic garbage bin. Our brains,
fed up by visual media, are not effected by powerful imagery as they used to
just a few years ago. It is getting harder every single day for the documentary
photographer to draw attention to the problems of the World and Humankind. It
is for this very reason that we decided on an exhibition format in which we are
bringing ”the voices and the photographs” together.
On my last visit
an Iraqi, who had more than 30 operations on his face, commented as follows:
“We don’t want your civilization, money or modern living… Just LEAVE US ALONE.”
