Civil War in Syria

Everything You Know About Syria is Wrong

Added by Brandon Baxter

The war raging in Syria right now is not a civil war. It is not a war that is being raged by one sector of the population against another. It is not a war that is being raged against President Bashar al-Assad nor is it a war that emerged because of his ruling. It is a proxy war. It is a war that was decided by former President George Bush on September 15th, 2001 at Camp David. Only days after 9/11 the Bush Administration created a plan to destabilize nations in the Middle East similar to what the US government had done in Latin American nations throughout the 20th century. The countries on the list included Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Iran, Lebanon, Somalia, Sudan, and Syria. The goal was to take out these countries in 5 years. Ever since the United States has been attempting to wage wars against these nations, but the war against Syria didn’t begin until February 2011. All of this was confirmed by retired General Wesley Clark [source]. Notice the time date of the video; November 5th, 2007. He gave this warning five years ago and now Iraq and Afghanistan have been occupied and destroyed, Libya “revolted” and destabilized, Somalia and Sudan spinning into chaos (Sudan was just bombed by Israel not too long ago), Iran under crippling sanctions, Syria in a “civil war”, and Lebanon increasingly threatened.

The United States was not as successful in attacking Syria as they had hoped. One of their main obstacles was Russia and China in the UN Security Council as they vetoed NATO action. An alternative plan emerged. Instead the United States began sending mercenaries with the aid of Qatar and Saudi Arabia into Syria in order to destabilize the country and carry out a coup. Look at the history of the United States in Latin American nations, or even in Iran. History repeats itself, and what they are doing in Syria has been done successfully before. However, it appears as though this plan is failing as well. The Syrian Army and Bashar al-Assad are resisting successfully, and the reason why is because they have been given legitimacy by the people. Those within Syria that are opposing the government, the so called “rebels”, are composed of external forces from across the Middle East. They are splinters of The United States failure to destroy Syria will likely lead them to accepting Russia’s peace plan.

What about the Syrian Revolution?

The “Syrian Revolution” was fabricated by the media. The message of the Free Syrian Army has been crafted and propagated by media sources in Qatar and elsewhere for years. American and European media claiming that there have been anti-Assad demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people are absolutely false. There is no popular uprising in Syria and that has been consistently confirmed by people within the nation. The turmoil within the nation is predominately caused by external forces. Forces who do not desire democracy for Syria. The spiritual leader of the Free Syrian Army is Sheikh Adnan Aeraour. He has his own television station on Saudi Arabian TV. Do you know what his motto is? “All the Christians to Beirut, all the Alawites to death.” That is not democracy! That is not a popular uprising of the Syrian people against the government! That is a sectarian conflict being raged by external forces largely from Gulf nations with the support of the West who have their own imperial interests in the Syrian nation.

What about Bashar al-Assad killing civilians?

President Assad explicitly gave orders to his army not to engage if they believed their actions would cause civilian harm. Numerous military officials across Syria confirm this. It must be remembered that during war civilian casualties are a consequence, but the Syrian Army is not targeting civilians. They are fighting a war against Western backed terrorists. These terrorists are even using weapons provided by the Israeli army. Israel is in charge of arming the Syrian Rebels. DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE ISRAEL HAS SYRIA’S BEST INTENTIONS? There is also compelling evidence that the mercenaries themselves are composed of Al-Qaeda. Almost a year ago Ayman al-Zawahiri called on Jihadists from across the Muslim world to go to Syria to fight. Al-Qaeda member Abdel Hakim Belhadj is an agent hired by NATO in Libya who led 700 mercenaries to Syria. And if you’re still not convinced the Council on Foreign Relations considers the main part of the Free Syrian Army to be composed of Al-Qaeda. Reports of the Syrian Army killing civilians have been staged. “Activists” like Danny Abdul Dayem have been exposed for their lies. The Al-Houla massacre that the Western media blamed on Assad was exposed as a Free Syrian Army plot by one of its own members.

Bashar al-Assad has legitimacy. He has the support of millions of Syrians, and he has had their support for years. Talk to Syrians who live there and who have family there. Do not trust external forces who have selfish motives to destroy Syria or exploit it for their own benefit.

Why would the West want to destabilize Syria?

Syria is a fundamental component of the Axis of Resistance in addition to Iran, Lebanon, and Palestine. A war against Iran cannot be carried out until Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine are destabilized. The Bush Administrations plan believed that all of these nations would need to be destroyed first before Iran could be dealt with. Syria is the main line of defense for Iran, Hezbollah is the only army in the world to defeat Israel, and Hamas would also likely defend Iran during a war by attacking Israel. The United States views these nations as part of a geopolitical game and their destabilization is mandatory for their desired neoliberal reconstruction of the Middle East. Gulf nations want to exploit Syria’s gas reserves. Israel wants to break the Axis of Resistance (Iran, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine are the only nations that actively oppose Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian people). France wants to continue their imperial ambitions in the region. France has also sent more than a hundred troops to Syria and has appointed a Rebel coalition as ambassador to Paris. Turkey has sent in troops, and Germany just announced today that they want to send in troops as well. Saudi Arabia is consistently spewing messages of hate against non-Sunnis in Syria. They are fueling a sectarian conflict int he country that has led to the massacre of Alawites, Shiites, and Christians. Salafi Jihadists hate Syria’s secular and religious freedom. They do not want democracy, they want a radical Islamic government in Syria. These external forces do not have Syria’s best intentions at heart, but only their own selfish dreams.

Free Syrian Army Crimes

The Free Syrian Army is guilty of numerous crimes against humanity. Including the murdering of innocent women and children and journalists. One of these crimes was the murder of Maya Nasser a journalist for Press TV. He was shot in the back for reporting the truth. The FSA has unleashed numerous suicide bombings in Damascus and other places. They are killing Christians, Alawites, and Shiites daily.

In Conclusion

The war for Syria is one waged by Bashar al-Assad and his supporters who love their country and the people within it and outside forces who have selfish desires to destroy the nation or exploit it for their own purposes. Do not be deceived by Western media. Seek out independent media and voices and research. The war against Syria is not just a physical war, but also a war of propaganda. Do not let it fool you.
